"Silver Shadows" di Richelle Mead

Ciao amiche, eccomi oggi a parlarvi del quinto libro della serie Bloodlines, completamente inedita in Italia, nata come spin off della serie Vampire Academy, che parla della storia di Sydnay Sage, un' Alchimista, e Adrian Ivashkov, un Moroi, cioè un vampiro.

Ora che un evento ha sbriciolato il loro mondo, Sydney e Adrian lottano per raccogliere i pezzi e ritrovarsi. Ma per prima cosa devono sopravvivere.

Per Sydney, intrappolata e circondata di nemici, la vita diventa una lotta quotidiana per mantenere la sua identità e il ricordo di coloro che amava. Nel frattempo Adrian si aggrappa alla speranza lottando contro coloro che gli dicono che Sydney ormai è una causa persa, ma la battaglia si rivela dura nel momento in cui  vecchi demoni e nuove tentazioni si impadroniscono di lui...

Con le loro peggiori paure diventate ormai una realtà agghiacciante, Sydney e Adrian affronteranno le loro ore più buie in questo quinto capitolo che farà battere il cuore pagina dopo pagina.

RECENSIONE:  quinto capitolo di una saga che io adoro, Silver Shadows è stato decisamente all'altezza delle mie aspettative. La storia è intrigante e avvincente, soprattutto nella seconda parte. Mentre nella prima metà assistiamo alle sofferenze dei protagonisti, dalla forza di volontà di Sydney che si aggrappa disperatamente al ricordo e all'amore che prova per Adrian,  alla debolezza del bel Moroi, che invece ricade nelle tentazioni dell'alcool e nell'oblio che gli provoca utilizzare lo spirito, il tutto contornato dal fatto che senza Sydney si sente davvero perso. La seconda parte è invece colma di azione e anche di scene romantiche che rendono la lettura davvero piacevole...e Adrian....(sospiro ehhhh), he's always Adrian!

Lo stile di Richelle Mead è sempre il solito, pulito, chiaro, ricco di descrizioni e mai noioso, e come ho detto anche in occasione della serie Vampire Academy, ammiro particolarmente il mondo che ha creato intorno ai vampiri, una sorta di universo parallelo.

Adesso non rimane che aspettare l'inizio dell'anno prossimo per avere l'ultimo capitolo di questa avvincente saga, e sperare che qualche casa editrice la pubblichi anche in Italia, sono sicura che farebbe molto piacere a coloro che hanno amato Vampire Academy.

REVIEW: this is the fifth book of Bloodlines series, that I loved so much. Silver Shadows is exactly what I had expected. The story is intriguing, and I'm really addicted to Adrian and Sydney. The first half of the story is a bit sad, with the sufference of Sydney, trapped by the Alchimists, and Adrian fears...he cannot face the spirit and his pain without her. In the second half of the book there are action and romantic scene...and read it is really amazing...and Adrian (ehhh....) he's Adrian !!! .

I love Richelle Mead style, and most of all I love the world she created for this vampire story...it's a sort of parallel univers that I love very much.

Now we have to wait next year to read the end of this amanzing story, and I hope that someone will publish this series in Italy, because it will be really appreciated for the ones who loved Vampire Academy.
