"Ugly Love" di Colleen Hoover

Buonasera a tutte...anche oggi vi voglio parlare di un libro inedito in Italia, ma che spero con tutto il cuore che arrivi in Italia, perchè è un gioiello, esattamente come Maybe Someday. L'autrice è la stessa, che io adoro per altro, la bravissima Colleen Hoover, e il libro di cui vi parlerò oggi è quello che vi ho presentato pochi giorni fa, Ugly Love.

The author is the talented, amazing, extraordinary Colleen Hoover, and the book I'll talk about is the one I presented few days ago, Ugly Love.

TRAMA: (tradotta da me, se la utilizzate vi prego di citarmi) Quando Tate Collins incontra il pilota di aerei Miles Archer, non pensa sia amore a prima vista. Non arrivano neanche a considerarsi amici. L'unica cosa che Tate e Miles hanno in comune è un'innegabile attrazione reciproca. Una volta che i loro desideri vengono allo scoperto, i due scoprono di avere un feeling perfetto. Lui non vuole l' amore, lei non ha tempo per l'amore, quindi non rimane che il sesso. Il modo in cui il loro rapporto si è sviluppato potrebbe essere sorprendentemente senza legami, fino a che Tate riuscirà a rispettare le uniche due regole che Miles ha per lei.

Entrambi pensano di poter affrontare tutto cio, ma realizzano subito che invece non riuscono a farlo per niente.

RECENSIONE: un altro libro fantastico, un'altra storia che ti entra nel cuore e non se ne va a lungo. La Hoover si è confermata davvero una delle autrici migliori nel suo modo di descrivere i sentimenti, assolutamente bravissima.

Anche questa volta abbiamo due personaggi che si imbarcano in una relazione difficile, Tate e Miles, due personaggi che conquistano il lettore pagina dopo pagina.

Per lei è una sorta di colpo di fulmine, per lui sarà come scalare una montagna insormontabile: un evento tragico gli impedisce di amare. Tate è una ragazza che si fa amare dal lettore perchè è sempre consapevole di quello a cui va incontro, non si illude (almeno prova a non farlo), ma lascia sempre uno spiraglio aperto nel suo cuore. Miles vive un'altalena di sensazioni e soffre, e il lettore non è mai portato a pensare che sia il classico personaggio leggero, anzi...è un ragazzo molto profondo e bisognoso di quell'amore che non vuol provare.

Ho apprezzato moltissimo i continui flashback di Miles che ti portano nella sua vita passata, come fosse una storia nella storia. Un libro assolutamente perfetto, pieno di buoni sentimenti e di amore in ogni sua sfaccettatura, e questa è davvero una delle caratteristiche che amo di più nei libri della Hoover, il fatto che ti mostri un'analisi dei sentimenti, proprio come se fosse il lettore stesso a provarli.

Non mancano le scene romantiche e bollenti, raccontate comunque con stile e delicatezza.

Libro assolutamente consigliatissimo a chi se la cava un po'  in inglese...nella speranza che lo traducano in italiano, perchè sono assolutamente certa che le lettrici italiane lo adorerebbero.

 

SUMMARY:  When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn't even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn't want love, she doesn't have time for love, so that just leave the sex. Their arrangement could be surprising seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past.

Don't expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can't handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated.

Promises get broken.

Rules get shattered.

Love gets ugly. 

 

REVIEW: another fantastic emotional intense book, another story that gets into your heart and will not go away for long. The Hoover was  one of the best writers, I love the way she describes feelings,  I feel every sigle emotion, page after page.
This time we have two characters who have a difficult relationship,Tate and Miles, two characters who cannot be loved.
For Tate it is sort of love at first sight, for Miles will be like climbing an insurmountable mountain: a tragic event prevents him from loving, he's unwilling to move on. Readers will really love Tate because she is always aware of what she's doing with him, not under the illusion (at least try not to), but it always leaves a window open in his heart. Miles lives a swing of feelings and suffering, and the reader is never inclined to think that it is the classic "bad-boy" character, but ... he is a very very deep and intense guy, and he's in need of thet love that he cannot accept, sincerely my heart brokes for Miles and for his pain.
I really enjoyed the flashbacks of Miles' past life, like a story within a story. An absolutely perfect book , full of good feelings and love in all its various forms. This is really one of the features I love most in the books of Colleen Hoover, the fact that she shows an analysis of the feelings, just like you would feel them. There are also beautiful hot and romantic scenes, written in a really good way.
The book is absolutely recommended to those who can read a bit in English ...hoping that it will be translated into Italian, because I am absolutely certain that Italian readers would love it so much...
