"Opposition" di Jennifer L. Armentrout

Ebbene si, finalmente è arrivato il tanto aspettato finale della serie Lux, di Jennifer L. Armentrout, una delle mie autrici preferite. Opposition è il quinto libro della serie, è inedito in Italia, ma spero lo pubblichino a breve visto che i primi due libri sono già stati pubblicati

And so, finally we had the long-awaited last book of the Lux series, by Jennifer L. Armentrout, one of my favorite authors. Opposition is the 5th book in the series, not yet published in Italy, and I really hope that it will pusblished soon, as the first two books.

TRAMA:  Katy sa che il mondo è cambiato la notte in cui sono arrivati i Luxen.

Non riesce a credere che Daemon abbia accolto quelli della sua razza, o stia dalla parte di coloro che minacciano di cancellare ogni essere umano o ibrido sulla Terra. Ma i confini tra il bene e il male non sono definiti, e l'amore è diventato un sentimento che potrebbe distruggerla, che potrebbe distruggerli tutti.

Daemon farà di tutto per salvare coloro che ama, anche se questo significa tradimento.

Dovranno allearsi con un improbabile nemico se vogliono avere qualche probabilità di sopravvivere all'invasione. Ma quando distinguere l'amico dal nemico diventa impossibile, e il mondo si sta sgretolando intorno a loro, rischiano di perdere tutto - anche quello a cui tengono di più, per garantire la sopravvivenza dei loro amici...e dell'umanità.

La guerra è giunta sulla Terra. E non importa il risultato, il futuro non sarà più lo stesso per coloro che sopravviveranno

RECENSIONE: stupefacente...queste le sole parole che mi vengono in mente. Adoro questa autrice per il suo stile e per la trama dei suoi libri che ti sorprende pagina dopo pagina, ma questa volta davvero si è superata. 

Non c'è una pagina che sia scontata, i colpi di scena si susseguono e ti lasciano senza fiato, soffri insieme ai personaggi momento dopo momento. Le battute sarcastiche sdrammatizzano le pagine difficili. Daemon e Kat in questo momento sono più intensi che mai, e sempre più uniti. Una coppia perfetta, si proteggono a vicenda anche quando il mondo che li circonda diventa ostile, quando sembra che tutto sia ormai perso. Le scene romantiche ti fanno innamorare di questi due ragazzi che vivono davvero l'uno per l'altra, che annegano il dolore che li circonda e che sentono dentro nel loro immenso amore.

Ho adorato anche i personaggi secondari Luc, Archer e perfino Hunter, ognuno di loro è stato caratterizzato con originalità, e sarebbe bellissimo se l'autrice ci regalasse qualche spin-off.

La lettura scorre veloce, è appassionante, per niente scontata e il finale è decisamente all'altezza di tutta la serie.

Ringrazio sinceramente l'autrice per tutta questa bellissima serie e per averci regalato Daemon e Kat...due personaggi che sono stati decisamente all'altezza del loro ruolo.

REVIEW: amazing, this is the only word that come into my mind thinking about Opposition. I really love this author for her style and the plots of her books, that surprises the reader page after page. But I think this time was absolutly the best.

You'll find a surprise and a plot twist in each page, leaving the reading really breathless, suffering every moments with the characters. Some sarcastic dialogues appease the difficult moment. Daemon and Kat are more intense than ever. A perfect couple, they protect each other even when the world around them become hostile, when it seems that everything is almost lost. 

Romantic scenes make the readers fall in love with these two guys who really live for each other, drowning the pain that surround them just in their immense love.

I also adored the secondary characters. Luc, Archer and even Hunter have been characterized with originality, and it would be nice if the author give us a spin-off.

The reading goes fast, it's exciting, not obvious at all, and the ending is definitely appropriate to the whole series.

I sincerely thank the author for the Lux series and for giving us Daemon and Kat, two characters who were definitely perfect for their role.
